Manor Farm, Corston

Quality Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast and Self-catering

Access Statement

Introduction

Manor Farm is a 18th Century Cotswold stone farmhouse situated in the small village of Corston just 3 miles north of junction 17 of the M4. We like to accommodate the needs of all of our guests but we do have some features which might make access difficult for some. We have rather twisty stairs which are narrow on one side, we also have a step from the hallway to the dining-room. We have two bedrooms that have ceilings that slope and one of the shower rooms are quite small.

Pre-Arrival

We are located on the side of the A429 in the Village of Corston and visitors can just pull off of the road into the yard and go round to the back of the house where they will see a glass-panelled door.

The nearest bus stop is just along the road and buses go through the village every hour to Malmesbury and Chippenham.

The nearest railway station is situated in the town of Chippenham just 7 miles from Manor Farm.

There are several local taxi companies; we can make bookings in advance for you.

We have a dog and regret that we are therefore unable to accommodate dogs.

Brochures and menus can be provided in large print if required. We regret that we do not have facilities to prepare documents in Braille.

The Bed & Breakfast page provides pictures of our accommodation and further information about the services we provide.

You can contact us by telephone, or e-mail. See the foot of this page for full details.

Guest Accommodation

The farmhouse is long and one room wide, downstairs one room leads directly into the next.

The entrance hall has a toilet with level access to the left of it which is available to guests during their stay. There is also a table with the visitor registration forms and a visitor’s book on it.

The entrance hall contains a stand with visitor information and brochures in it. The hall has tiles throughout which is heated with underfloor heating so it is warm 24 hours a day.

The house is centrally heated throughout on a time clock but temperatures can be adjusted in each room to suit individual requirements.

Lounge and Dining Room

There is a small step leading from the hallway into the dining room being 12cms in depth which has the lounge leading on from it. There are plenty of sofas and chairs in this room together with books, games and puzzles for guests use. The lounge contains an lcd screen television, teletext, video and sky box.

In the dining room there is one large table in the middle of the room and several small tables around the walls of the room, so guests have the choice of mixing with other guests or sitting on their own table, whichever suits them best.

Breakfast is served in the dining room.

Both the lounge and dining room have fitted carpets throughout.

Staircase

Our staircase has original features and therefore has irregular steps with one hand rail to the left.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms are carpeted throughout and each room has a radiator which can be adjusted individually to suit personal choice.

Four bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with either bath/shower, toilet and basin and the fifth room has a private bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and basin.
